Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel.  Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind).  So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me?  Pantser?  I think?  But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid.  And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly.  And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. Most video rental stores in America have gone extinct and outside specific Red Box Kiosks there aren't a lot of places for consumers to rent video games. The exception, of course, being thr
SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.
A lot of people have asked me how it's going, when it will be published and stuff. I really appreciate getting asked these things because it shows that people are actually interested in my writings, and that it just such a great feeling :aww:
I've got two news for you guys today though: one bad news and one good news. Let's start with the bad news.

Sorry to hear DA removed your lemon; I hope you were able to save it somewhere. The simple solution in response to this "lemon purge" is to find a different site that allows you to post lemons. It doesn't surprise me someone started to report them because if any piece of literature contains what DA considers to be "pornographic content" then it's not allowed on DA. And DA doesn't delete everything sent their way, so those hetalia lemons must have been really breaking the rules to get removed. Yeah I agree that someone is still reporting them, but I hope you understand they're not being a criminal, or a false reporter, for reporting stuff not allowed on DA.

*groan* This is so confusing. I talked to Ev0net, and to tell the truth, I believe he deserved to be reported, as far as I know, he has caused problems before. But, he wasnt the main one doing this. They think that someone who lost the lemon contest were most lemons were reported had did it. He may of just been someone to join the bandwagon. Now, believe me, I had a talk to Ev0net before he was reported, and it seems all he is very strong about is following the rules, and it was mostly towards preview pictures and possibly the "pornographic literature" once in a while. I believe he just takes them just a little too far.

I feel that you actually reported the wrong person. Ev0net was only reporting basically copyrighted pictures. He took all of the heat form everybody for the actual culprit. I feel that you should not be so happy about this, because you reported an innocent person. (I feel sorry for getting on to him about it) :(

I forgot to add this, why do people even read lemons? I mean, I will admit that I have actually read a few. But were making such a big deal over something that I am pretty sure most of us would not be allowed to read. We could live without a few lemons, right?

Im sorry if I am offensive towards Lemon writers, I applaud that you guys have such a talent to be able to write such stuff, cause I would never be able to write stuff like that.

Wow, the hetalia fandom really represented itself well by celebrating the suspencion of a member for "false reporting" lemons that were breaking DA rules in the first place.

Hope you guys are proud, because I'm so embarrassed for the fandom right now.

I am so ashamed of the Hetalia fan base, I'm embarrassed to say I'm even a part of the fandom.
This kind of behavior is why the fandom is looked down upon.
Poor guy got attacked for abiding by the rules and then got his account suspended.
What a shame, what a damn shame.

It is a damn shame.

It was bad enought they attacked someone based on a rumour, but to attack someone for following DA rules? That's a new low and a whole new level of immaturity. I'm surprised those leaving threats weren't susupended for harassment, I wouldn't have been against it.

The countryxreader group really should remove all these "lemon crisis" journals, they're not helping people "move on" from this.
